Sweet Tomatoes with Bourbon vanilla

Velvety and smooth Tomatoes

These medium to large tomatoes have elongated shapes and strong, smooth skins. They are the rich red colour typically found on the Tavoliere delle Puglie plain. They have a sweet flavour that prevails over their acidic properties. Their fleshy nature means that they are mainly sieved or used in sauces. We decided to concentrate their sweetness and fleshiness, while enriching the recipe with the mild, velvety touch of Bourbon vanilla.

Ingredients

fresh Italian tomatoes , Italian extra virgin olive oil, water, whole sea Cervia salt, sugar, Bourbon Vanilla.

How to use

these tomatoes are great on their own, with just a slice of crusty durum wheat bread. They are also delicious with fresh dairy products and raw fish dishes. Alternatively, try them with al dente spaghetti: add them cold after you have drained the pasta and simply crush them with a fork to release all of their juices and delights. Keep the extra virgin olive oil for dressing salad and seasoning grilled meat or fish.

How to keep it

Store it in a cool place away from sources of light. Pasteurized product.
